Stage of life

Stage of Life

In the great stage of Life
you'll get the best place
because You
will be there.

Critical mass
of Nature
mere extensions
arms and legs.

We can fill and suppress
with rock and concrete
wherever we may happen to be,
build houses galore
malls 'till the horizons
they meet.

Yet a few hours ago
we pushed Nature aside
and keep her at bay
just for awhile.

And yea
the landscape we change
even if for a short time
but Sea and Sky
remain the same.
Unless we kill them too.
There won't be there
then,
barely is here
Now.

Nature will come back
for one of her virtues
is patience
and a million years
mean nothing to Her.
Reclaiming what is Hers
no trace of Humans,
as smooth as the deserts' sands
as inexorable as the jungles, waters,
quakes and winds
of our world.

Timeless
as the Universe itself.
Regardless of
whether we kill It or not,
our history will be
as if nothing
had ever happened,
no traces, no life.

Even History
is not what happened
but who tells us
what happened,
as true
as the biggest lies
that have been told
in pursuit
of their goals.

History was written,
told by the victors
whose perception
was tainted
by their affiliations,
not by unknown
I saw it, I lived it,
it happened like this.

And that doesn't even matter
as much as it does.
What we build
will end up in the dust,
but what we do
to build it
will validate the moment.
Living forever
in that corner
of its time.

So life becomes pointless?
No!

Life is this wondrous gift
that as spirits
or nothing else
We have been given.
Life is that chance
to be in the flesh
if only for a short while.
Life is the timelessness
of a kiss,
the babe's cry,
the lovers' sigh.

Life is Our heritage
and huge responsibility,
precious to keep and hold
we are in this
together as humans,
children of the Gods
whatever flavor,
children of the stars,
the skies, the water.

As soon as I finish writing this
the words will slip off
the pages of my mind
maybe these too
will soon disappear,
matters not,
they already got out.
